We buy your vaccines.
You never front a dollar.
Canid purchases every private vaccine, tracks inventory digitally, auto-orders from manufacturers, handles shipments, and covers all waste. Your practice never writes a check for vaccine stock again.
Inventory management is draining your team
Vaccines are the second largest expense behind payroll. Most practices manage them with spreadsheets, daily fridge counts, and guesswork.
"We do inventory counts every day"
Daily inventory counts waste 30+ minutes a day. Staff opens the fridge, counts vials, updates a spreadsheet, and repeats. That time adds up to hundreds of hours per year pulled away from patients.
"My team lead created a spreadsheet to predict what we need"
Manual ordering is error-prone. Staff guess when to reorder, track thresholds in Excel, and call manufacturers. Over-ordering ties up cash; under-ordering means turning patients away.
"Waste isn't really being tracked in our EMR"
Dropped doses, expired vials, and temperature excursions go unreported. Without lot-level tracking, practices have no visibility into how much revenue is quietly disappearing.
"We have tens of thousands tied up in vaccine stock"
Practices front $50K-$200K+ for vaccine inventory. That capital is locked in the fridge instead of being used to hire staff, upgrade equipment, or cover operating costs.
Canid buys your vaccines. Zero upfront cost.
We purchase every private vaccine your practice needs. Your fridge stays stocked, your cash stays in the bank, and your practice bears zero financial risk on claims.
Regimens 1-2: GSK (GlaxoSmithKline)
GSK-heavy vaccine schedule. Standardized for cost efficiency across Canid's network.
Regimens 3-4: Merck-Sanofi (includes Vaxelis)
Merck-Sanofi based schedule with Vaxelis combination vaccine. Practice picks the best match.
Your fridge manages itself. Intelligently.
Digital inventory tracking, dynamic thresholds, and automatic ordering from manufacturers. No spreadsheets, no phone calls, no guesswork.
Usage-based thresholds that learn your practice
The system continuously monitors usage and dynamically adjusts reorder thresholds. When inventory drops to the target level, it auto-orders private vaccines directly from the manufacturer.
Dynamic thresholds
Adjust automatically based on historical usage patterns
Auto-orders to manufacturer
Private vaccines ordered directly, no phone calls needed
Pending order tracking
Full visibility into what's ordered and when it arrives
Manual orders anytime
Override auto-orders whenever you need something specific
Flu, RSV, and more
Seasonal vaccines like flu and RSV are managed by reservation. Canid coordinates manufacturer allocation so your practice has the right quantities at the right time.
3-way reconciliation, then one click
For VFC orders, Canid performs a full 3-way reconciliation between physical inventory, Canid records, and the state registry. Then the order is prepared in the state registry for your VFC coordinator to review and approve.
From order to fridge. No manual lot entry.
When a shipment arrives, all lot numbers and expiration dates are already in the system. Your staff just confirms it showed up.
Order placed automatically
Canid detects low stock, places order direct with manufacturer.
Shipped with tracking
Refrigerated vaccines arrive next business day. Frozen vaccines take approximately 3 days. Tracking number visible in the platform.
Auto-uploaded into inventory
Lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities are automatically loaded. No manual data entry.
Clinic clicks "Accept"
One click to confirm the shipment arrived. A notification fires if acceptance is overdue.
VFC packing slips
For VFC shipments, packing slips are easily added to your digital inventory record for compliance.

Count every individual lot number and vial
Manual spreadsheet updates, handwritten tallies
Staff pulled from patient care to count vaccines

Inventory questions we get on almost every call.
Do we have to buy the vaccines up front?
No. Canid purchases your private vaccines through multiple group purchasing organizations, so you are not fronting tens of thousands of dollars in inventory. You get competitive GPO pricing without carrying the purchase risk.
What happens when a vaccine expires or gets wasted?
It is covered at no charge, as long as it is reported in a reasonable timeframe. That includes dropped doses, expirations, temperature excursions, and refusals after a dose has been drawn. Practices average about 2% waste, and a single lost dose runs around $200, which is roughly ten administration fees.
How does Canid know what to order and when?
Canid tracks your inventory against target thresholds built from your own historical usage, and adjusts those thresholds as your usage changes. When stock hits the threshold, private vaccines are ordered automatically from the manufacturer. Seasonal vaccines like flu and Beyfortus are handled by reservation. For VFC, Canid prepares the order in your state registry for your coordinator to approve.
How often do we still have to count inventory?
Once a month at minimum, and it usually takes about ten minutes. The count-by-product view lets you count visually, such as four boxes of Bexsero with one open box of nine, instead of going lot by lot. Canid only asks for a lot-level count when something does not reconcile.
How quickly do vaccines arrive?
Refrigerated vaccines ordered by end of day arrive the next business morning, roughly a 16-hour turnaround. Frozen vaccines take three to five days. Tracking is visible in the platform, and shipments load into your inventory automatically with no manual lot entry. For VFC deliveries you can photograph the packing slip and Canid reads it in.
Can we keep the brands we use today?
Canid can purchase any brand, with a small number of exceptions such as Typhoid. Practices choose from four standardized regimens based on manufacturer contracts: two weighted toward GSK and two toward Merck and Sanofi, which include Vaxelis. You pick the closest match to what you already give.
